4WardEverUK

Established June 2006. The core purpose of 4WardEverUK is to provide a one-stop-resource for case profiles, news and event details, useful directories & resources, statistics, appeals, and more in relation to deaths and abuses whilst in custody; including the death penalty, other injustices and human rights abuses in the United Kingdom and internationally.

Benjamin Zephaniah Family Legacy Group

The Legacy Group was founded by Benjamin’s siblings in January 2024 after his tragic death on 7 December 2023. It plans to help keep his name alive, and to make sure communities are aware of the initiatives that they co-produce or support in order to build on and maintain Benjamin’s rich and enduring legacy.

Catalyst 4 Change CIC

Established in 2016, Catalyst 4 Change supports community organisations, social enterprises, faith groups or businesses that have a significant African and Caribbean mental health / wellbeing service user base. They do this by providing learning seminars, networking opportunities, capacity building, incubation support, representation and research; and access to a professional services directory.

It is with regret that the directory website was retired in 2023. Their Twitter and Facebook accounts will however remain updated with relevant news on issues related to food poverty, foodbanks, health matters, related charitable support services and national developments on food, communities and the economy.

First Stop Design

First Stop was established in 2004, and supports businesses, enterprises, charities, community and campaign groups of all sizes to get their websites and marketing materials developed at an affordable price. First Stop specialise in producing low-cost, high-quality websites and aftercare, other on-line services, email & file sharing and production & print/delivery of marketing materials.

M.A.S.H. Hub (under development)

The Mentoring & Advocacy Support Hub (M.A.S.H), previously known as the Peer Support Programme, was initially developed as part of the MIND / Time to Change 300 Voices Project to support young African and Caribbean men with lived experience of mental health problems in Birmingham to build resilience and confidence to aid recovery. It is now being redeveloped with Catalyst 4 Change CIC.

National Mikey Powell Memorial Family Fund

Founded in 2015, the Memorial Family Fund is the first permanent national resource of its kind specifically for those that are affected by deaths in custody. They make small grants available for families and their campaign groups across the United Kingdom to provide practical domestic assistance, to further the work of their own campaigns or to assist them in engaging in a range of other local, regional or national campaigns, events and initiatives.

RedAlert HELP! (under development)

First conceived in 2014, RedAlert HELP! is now under development by 4WardEverUK and Catalyst 4 Change. The initiative already provides an online DIY support hub, and has aspirations to also provide advocacy support and a 24Hr telephone and text advice service for families affected by deaths or abuses in custody, or concerned about vulnerable relatives or friends detained in custody.

The Peoples Tribunal on Police Killings

The People’s Tribunal is designed to take forward the heritage of families struggle in a way that radically challenges the status quo. They are particularly concerned that the crimes of murder and manslaughter committed by state agents have gone unpunished over many decades.
